As a big advocate of quality, durability and customer service I spent quite some time looking for the perfect kayak that I could abuse, travel with, and get involved with a great group of people. Funny enough I was able to find this right in my own backyard. Walking in one day, I met Nolin and got a thorough run through of the kayak as well as a test paddle. I was immediately sold after feeling it on water and seeing how it was built!

My main reason for wanting a foldable kayak was because of travel. I take my kayak everywhere with me and love the looks at airports as I roll the bag behind me. And even more so as I strap it to the back of my motorcycle.

I love paddling in the middle of winter as well. One of my favourite paddling locations is the Bay of Fundy. Incredible tides, untouched coast and cliffs, as well as new challenges at every turn. I have put the kayak through it all, including paddling through ice on the east coast. I have also spent time on the west coast of Canada paddling in calmer waters and surfing in some of best surf of the world. No matter where I take it, it always delivers as a sporty kayak, a great touring kayak, and an everyday boat.

I only buy products that I know will stand up to the rigours of use, and that have a strong team behind it. I visit the headquarters quite often and have always been treated like royalty. If you want to paddle in extremes, wonder how the kayak will hold up, or just general questions, I know the answer, or know exactly where to find it. Look forward to sharing more about my experiences, as well as future trips I have planned with the best folding kayak there is.
